Busy night of action with Champions League, Championship, League One and one SPL match all going ahead tonight.

It's almost half time in all the matches with some of the scores being;

Manchester Utd 2-0 Basel (Danny Welbeck scored twice in just over a minute - are they Hibees in disguise? :greengrin)
Bayern Munich 1-0 Manchester City (Must be a mistake, though, since Mancini was adamant that City would win this one :aok:)
Real Madrid 1-0 Ajax
CSKA Moscow 2-3 Inter Milan-FULL TIME.

Rangers 0-0 Kilmarnock

Bayern 2-0 Man City

Twice Joe Hart has been let down by his defense after making good saves.

Sir David Gray

Manchester Utd 2-1 Basel.

It's been coming, some really slack defending by United for practically the whole game. Basel could have scored three or four tonight.

Manchester Utd 2-2 Basel.

Unreal, completely deserved though.

Almost as hilarious as the sheer lack of professionalism being shown by the City players, over in Germany.

3-3, full time.

Great entertainment but shocking defending by United all night.

Fergie will not pleased that they've thrown away two points after leading at half time.

Well played to Basel, though, excellent performance.

Lucky or a team that perseveres?

West Ham got beat 1-0 by Ipswich at home, bit of a shock, as was Crystal Palace beating Brighton in the south London / Brighton 'derby'

Ipswich have picked up a lot, got a very good draw at Middlesbrough other day. Brighton have started the season well. I bet they got a good crowd in for that one though.

Lucky for me. My opinion of cause.

Mancini confirming that Tevez refused to go on as sub with plenty time left.

Surely he will never play for City again, should be kicked out IMO.

That has to be the end.

For any player to refuse to go on the pitch, when asked to do so by his manager, is unforgivable.

I wonder what would happen if Manchester City refused to pay him his wages this week? :bitchy:

They would probably be within their rights to do this as it must constitute breach of contract of his part.

Poor wee Tevez.

Man City players seem to have a terrible attitude.

Balotelli, Tevez, Dzeko's antics tonight. Too many ego's in that dressing room and Mancini deserves more respect for the good job he's doing under such pressure.

Sir David Gray

Souness was absolutely bang on the money with everything that he said tonight.

Apparently Tevez has told Sky Sports that he didn't feel right "mentally" to play.

Absolutely disgraceful attitude to have and if I had been a Man City fan over in Munich tonight, spending money that I can barely afford on flights, accommodation and match tickets, and heard that from one of the players who is reportedly on £150,000 per week, I would actually be quite offended by that explanation.

It wasn't meant to be taken literally.

I was just making the point that there are a lot of football supporters out there who are normal, working class people, who don't have a lot of money to their name but who make a lot of sacrifices to be able to follow their team at home and abroad.

To hear such a feeble excuse from a multi millionaire football player, who is paid in one week what a lot of them would need to work for around five or six years to earn would make me really angry if I was in that position.

I'm sure every single Manchester City fan who was there tonight would have given their right arm to be able to make a five minute appearance for their team tonight.

Tevez was out of order tonight, as was Dzeko, nae need to behave like that, both should be stuck in the reserves and sold in january. City really need to be seen to make an example of these two idiots and show that they will not put up with these antics from overpaid so called superstars. They showed a complete lack of respect to the fans, the club and Mancini tonight. Still think City will qualify though and very much looking forward to going down there for the home games against Bayern and Villareal.

No point, its what he'll want, a free move to somewhere else thats willing to pay his ridiculous wages. Dock him a few weeks wages and make him train with the reserve team for a while and make him give others respect.
