Do any of you guys know if ESPN is just one station?
i live in poland and was thinking to get satellite TV as one of the companies provide 'ESPN classic' but i dont know if this means i will get e.g. hibs games on the odd weekend.

i know for example there are lots of different types of stations like; bbc scotland, bbc england, bbc northern ireland, and so on, so I wondered if ESPN was the same?

i know ESPN is a big channel in the usa so it got me wondering if they have scottish games on a satuday (which i doubt) or if they have there own one and the uk has another. If so which one does europe get?

your help would be greatly appriciated.

thanks

Gareth

Sorry, the ESPN that shows the Hibs games is only available in the UK and ROI unless you use (fairly) expensive specialist equipment.

ESPN Classic (which is available Europe-wide I believe) only shows archive footage and does not show any live matches from any country.

You may already know this, but you can subscribe to Hibernian TV via the club's official website, which I believe streams all our home games live online, if you live outside the UK.

ESPN does have different formats in different regions and they also sell on their rights - I watch their live Scottish matches on OSN in Qatar

It's possible to get satellite tech to pick up signals from other countries, but in terms of hassle/cost/ridiculous size/legal issues, it wouldn't be worth your while...unless you run a Polish pub with a large Leith immigrant community nearby.

True, but I'm 99% certain that Classic is the only one currently available in Europe outside UK and ROI. Your right about the rights though (he says trying not to confuse himself) but I'm guessing the OP would be aware of any Scottish football on other channels schedules. If not, if you know of any pubs near where you stay that show live Scottish football, you might want to enquire what channel they show it on.

Alternatively, try gambling websites. A lot of them stream live games from a multitude of countries but I'm not sure how popular sports gambling is in Poland.

Indeed, every live Scottish game is available on a good quality stream on bet365 and the Alba game is on live at 3pm UK time on a Saturday also.

HibsTV for any home games that aren't live...and the odd away I believe.

HunDog TV can be bought on a one off basis for next weekends game.

EDIT - this weekend its only Dunfermline/Huns and St J/Hertz thats on Bet365.
EDIT2 Raith game is live also (Alba game??)

i have UPC satilite here in Prague, it is a Hungarian company that is the provider broadcasting in CZ. I get the SPL via Sport1 or Sport2 channel. Have a look to see if any providers have these two listed channels.

$9.50 for the game.

Its absolutely disgusting but needs must pal..... http://www.rangerstv.tv/matches.php?c=

There could well be free streams on the go but HDTV is guaranteed to be a decent quality stream and reliable so will go with that again.
