O'connor looks like hes as sharp as ever with those two finishes, 28 yo, he should be in his prime as a striker, forming a very good understanding with sparky, long may it continue:agree:

He's a genuine class act, and whatever his off-field problems might be, he gives 100% on the pitch.

I can't see it happening, but I'd love to see him extend his contract at ER. Those were two superbly-taken goals.

Totally agree with this post and would just add that GOC's goal was so late in the game, and for the big man to get his legs going again to reach his own knock through was awesome. The boys were great last night and in fairness to both teams the goalkeepers were fantastic. Broony kept us in the game with two great saves at the feet of strikers and their keeper saved a thunder bolt from sparky. I was right behind the keeper and as it left sparky's foot i was sure it was in.

Lets push on from here and get our season up and running with a win this weekend.
