Chick Hun said on Radio Scotland that HIbs have never lost a penalty shoot out to another Scottish club...

Yup thats definitely what he said.....very good record!

I remember being at the first one versus Leeds Utd in 1973 which we lost.

Been at many since but can't recall us losing any.

If true, that's a remarkable record.

Something Hibs are good at!

I've seen us win loads of these;

Celtic, Rangers, Clyde, Clydebank, Partick in the League Cup.

Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup and another one tonight so that's 7/7.

Think we might have lost one to Meadowbank in the League Cup back in about 1982-83....??

I was at them all apart from tonight. Great memories! Pierce O'Leary and Frank De Boer missing, Goram scoring the winner and Harper up at Pittodrie. Add Brown to the list of heroes :greengrin

I have a hazy and distant memory of loosing to Meadowbank on penalties as well. Was sure it was the League Cup but seems it wasn't so you may be correct with the EoS Shield. :confused:

Said exactly the same thing today.

I've seen us beat the following on pens: Clydebank, Aberdeen, Rangers, Clyde. Obviously there was the one en route to the 93 final, and also this Motherwell game too. We don't lose penalty shoot outs! :greengrin

East of Scotland Shield Semi-final

16th April 1984

Willie Jamieson opened the scoring but Meadowbank equalised through Graham Armstrong and went on to win 5-4 on penalties :agree:
