The board of Hibernian FC would like to apologise to the club's supporters who travelled through to Fir Park tonight for the Communities Cup Tie against Motherwell.
Several reports of excitement and attacking football have been received by the club and rest assured we take a zero tolerance stance on this kind of thing.
We are hurting like every supporter at the outcome of tonight's match but are confident that manager Colin Calderwood has assembled a squad capable of bouncing right out of the cup at the next opportunity.
22 games, 22 defeats, selective quoting of statistics maybe, but that's why Hibernian wants Colin Calderwood as it's manager. Hibernian has Colin Calderwood as it's manager.
All those who have retained a ticket stub from tonight's match will be entitled to BTG entry at our next home league match where we will be pleased to offer them a executive seat in the West Stand, a pie and a sheet of 1-ply bog roll to use in a cubicle of their choice for just £89 as a gesture of goodwill following the events that have unfolded tonight at Fir Park.
Together, we keep the balance sheet stronger.
Rod Petrie.

The scoreboard on BBC Scotland (telly) displayed the score as
Motherwell 2 Hibernian 2 (7 - 6 pens) and the muppet read it as 2 - 2.
How would you interpret that
So I came on here reasonably satisfied we had been gallant losers :greengrin

That's unfair. If you are talking about the BBC TV news they said the followiing;
Aberdeen beat East Fife after penalties:rolleyes:
Hibs drew 2-2 'and that was after penalties'.

Rod Petrie.

Talked about not punting the ball upfront and playing thro the midfield
Are we witnessing an Alex Fergusson moment here? I hope so!

Didn't realise the former presiding officer at Holyrood was a Hibby ;-)
The board of Hibernian FC would like to apologise to the club's supporters who travelled through to Fir Park tonight for the Communities Cup Tie against Motherwell.
Several reports of excitement and attacking football have been received by the club and rest assured we take a zero tolerance stance on this kind of thing.

If there is one thing (probably the only thing these days) that gives me great satisfaction is coming on to .net the day after a win where we have come back from a goal down (I know it doesn't happen often, but that makes it all the sweeter). Take today, Hibs are playing brilliant, we score. We lose a goal, all of a sudden we are pile of Rafael, CC is an ass and should be run out of town etc etc etc. We lose another goal. Holy Terrors!!!!!! A disgrace to the green and white. We are the worst team ever, we are going to lose at least 5, bunch of spineless ********* etc etc etc. We equalize. :hibees:cgwa. We win.:cgwa:cgwa:cgwa:cgwa we are the best team ever, what a fight back, some balls eh, etc etc etc. Brilliant and i thank you all for a little entertainment this morning. Personally I don't get as excited anymore, preferring to see the 90 minutes through before succumbing to hyperbole but hey ho, each to their own.

I was one and I have to say the team played well, better than they have all season, but he fans were fantastic and the atmosphere brilliant for what was a superbly entertaining match :-))
