First it was massive with thousands of stairs, old men with caps on young guys in flares,
It had seen Barcelona & Real Madrid, then they chopped it in half and stuck on a lid.
From that day on the east stand was born, sometimes amazing sometimes forlorn,
It sung Frank Sauzee & Keith Keith Keith,Glory 2 the hibees & sunshine on Leith,
It has seen 3 league cups come back full of bubbly, & it laughed when Steve Fulton got booked 4 being ugly.
It told wallace merser go kiss our ass and it wept when Joe Baker knelt down on the grass,
My mate's & your mate's 2 name but a few, we were in it rejoicing when we stuffed them 6-2.
But now that it's changed it's a good thing I think, as long as it's green and not bus shelter pink ,
If I could name it I would put in a bid, there is only 1 choice "THE SIR ALBERT KIDD":thumbsup:

Don't want to sound like I'm putting that down as its quality but I'm surprised people haven't heard that before. It went around almost as soon as the old stand was knocked down.

No probs, but anything that can bring a smile to our faces is okay by me no matter how old it is.

it was a cold floodlit night when i first got a sight
of the place that i now call home

there was terraces high and stands in the sky
and i was cold to the bone

i took my dads hand as he said we cant stand
and led me to a shed that was warm

it was once called the cave where the young team would rave
but now it was seated and calm

i looked all around and saw what i found
to be faces shivering and cold

waiting in fog for stanton, their god
to bring them silver or gold

i then asked my dad, why it was that he had
brought me into this seated enclosure

he said if i'd taken you there, up in the air
you'd surely have died of exposure

i watched from my seat, this new kind of treat
and i hoped that he'd bring me again

for this thing that i saw, it filled me with awe
and gave birth to my love for the game

A was in it when there wis 30k
The place wis awash wi glee
The Famouse 5 wir guid
The Terrace Roar stoad Stid
The yams wir oors ti keep
There fans wear pit ti sleep
but now its deed
the empty stand stand Stands empty in deed
never again ti hear the roar
the empty seats i so deplore
but i wil no forget
Turnbulls Tornadoes at there best
The Famous Five were THE BEST
The PBS Lot Pit Ti rest
Never will we fill again
The East Stand end wi 30k
But we all live in hope
That RP Will find a Rope
Once hes gone we can beleive
The Famouse 5 will live ti breave
And once again the stand will fill
With proud Hibees dressed ti Thrill
The League again will ours be oors
The league cup will follow for sure.

Only 2 league cups since the lid went on. But no bad effort.
