Wow 10 years ago today,was getting ready to go to Athens to see the cabbage.
Great time was had ( thanks fellow hibees) even though we got there to find out game was off....and got escorted off the plane with polis.

Thanks for that - I hadn't seen anything on the telly about 9/11, but your anecdote brings the memories flooding back.

I'd just got home from a 26hr shift and was glued in disbelief to the telly watching the horrendous events unfold. That day has changed the world like no other event probably will in my lifetime!!

A biggie but not as momentous as the tearing down of the Berlin wall and the end of communism in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. In my opinion of course.
