Might not be posting this in the best place so admins feel free to move.

A lot of you have probably seen today in the Evening News that a good friend of mine, a girl named Rachel Appolinari died on 26th August after fighting bravely against a brain tumour for the best part of 3 months.

Some of you might know her dad, a big hibby, Steve Appolinari, and in fact her big sister is the girlfriend of our very own David Wotherspoon.

Anyway, the oldest of her three sisters Francesca has set up a fund to raise money for Ward 3 and Oncology ward at The Western General.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated by both family and friends

This is really sad news, Rachel had not long started at my work and while I didn't work directly with her I know she was very popular in the building. I believe the total raised by HSBC to date for the fund stands at a little over £1500 thanks to some great fundraising events carried out by her colleagues.

Good luck with the fund, and my condolences for such a sad loss.
