mould on walls?

anyone had a problem with this? i found patches of mould underneath my window along one wall a couple months ago. i cleaned it away but have noticed its startin to come back. have also noticed a pipe outside has been dripping a wee bit the last couple days onto the outside of the wall and im suspecting this is what'll be causing it. any recomendations about how best to sort this and how serious a problem it is?

Doing that should stop further spread of the dampness, however you may need to cut back the plaster to expose the brickwork & treat it with a liquid damp proof coating.

thanks, theres a vent on the outside of the wall directly below the leak so must be making it easy for the water to get through. il have a look at the pipe tomorow.

got another question if anyone can help. the leaks coming from a white pipe that every stair in the street has and has an open end so is there to drain something. whats the source of the water comin from this pipe?
