Thats right. He should have tucked it away with his foot but decided to kneel down and try a header but fluffed it. Nay luck eh. I was in the east with my auld man and it was pandemonium when GOC scored.

a well needed boost on derby eve. we sat behind 4 american tourists that day who had never been to a 'soccer' match before. lets say it was an eye opening day for said visitors to ER. the celebrations after that goal (and vocal protests after the ridiculous sending off) plus the 'bounce' at full time was a little too much for them.
sadly witnessed one of the tourists being started on and called a hibee **** by a passing yam after the game. no comment required

I remember just thinking how well we had done to get a draw 0-0 with Grant Brebner being sent off (was it Grant?) in the first half.

Then, Garry O scored - in the Upper West we were going totally radio rental. I was jumping up and down and cheering and hugging my sister.

Great memory. One of the best ever (I was at Tynie on 01/01/1973 so I can't quite say the best ever.....)
