Just wondering if we are getting an early opening in the Roseburn? If not is the Murrayfield hotel the other option for a few pre match shandys or ten?

Cheers

Jim mate - is this a cry for help?

Drinking on a Sunday morning is one of the last steps in an alcoholic's journey before hitting rock bottom

I'm sure we have plenty reformed AA's on Hibs.Net that can take you to a meeting :greengrin

Don't think the Spiders Web is open at that time on a Sunday m8? It is during the week though...

Only other bar early open I believe is the Bank Hotel. ***** pint and dear as **** though so it'll be a few cans in the flat/ on the street first waiting for 12.30

Never been to the Murrayfield. Reckon the atmosphere will be as good as the Roseburn?

depends how u define 'good'. There'll be plenty of Hibs songs, more seats and an outside area for smokers etc. It'll be busy, but not insanely mobbed as the Roseburn. Having done both, I prefer it, but it's not as 'mental' or 'hardcore' as The Roseburn

Outside smoking section? Sorted. The Roseburn can ram it :aok:

My preference would be Tamsons or The Roseburn but ma big mate is not to good on his pins the now so might have to go to the station bar. It's no' the same drinking amongst vermin

Make yourself known to the curly-headed laddy with the peelywally Riordan 01 top and you've got yourself an IPA. As the ancient proverb says, the man who reveals the path to beer and fags is a noble man indeed. :not worth

I've never been in the Roseburn (past it plenty of times on the way to Tynecastle though) but I did go into the Murrayfield a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. As Lyon says, the Roseburn attracts more of the "hardcore" types, whereas the Murrayfield is a bit of a mixed bag.

Still plenty of songs going on and it was great to sit outside with a drink and sing away! :greengrin

That might not be the case all the time but that was certainly my observation on that occasion.

The Station is for home fans only on match days. Dont wear any Hibs colours.

I know that been before, still feel uncomfortable. It'll be straight down to Tamsons for some celebratory beers.

Today was the first time my laddie (17 years) has been refused entry to the Murrayfield hotel when accompanied by me on Derby day!
