It's not the job of Hibs12thMan to tell you to be happy with the results we've been getting, to enjoy the style of football we've witnessed of late or be content with our league position. As passionate Hibbies we all have the right to let rip with our feelings - in our homes, at our workplace, over a few drinks or on internet messageboards.

But if we Hibbies really care about supporting our team we must accept that very few players in the history of football have ever performed better when subject to abuse from the stands. If this is true of seasoned professionals, we can only imagine the negative impact upon the confidence of young players still developing in the game.

Colin Calderwood has been with us for less than 12 months. His team is still being assembled. There is a clear passion in our team even if the tactics and formations need a lot more work. As a new squad they have a way to go and results may not get better overnight. The team must improve but we supporters need to improve along with them. Hibs will be a young team this season we must play our part in their development

So when our players make a mistake, concede a goal or are on the end of a gubbing let's show them that Hibs Supporters are strong-willed, resolute and will always back the 11 Hibs players on the park. At this club, it is not now and never will be acceptable to boo or abuse our own players. It's time to show courage, lift our hearts and our voices and roar these players on for 90 minutes - win lose or draw.

what would be even more awesome is if our band of well paid professional football players showed even half the passion and commitment of the fans, cos without that, we'll get gubbed on Sunday, irrespective of how great our support is.

Good post with Derby coming up!
I would think nearly 100% of fans won't boo any Hibs player during a derby("we'll until we're 3 or 4 down which happened a few time in the mid 2000's).
I'm sure all 3500 Hibees will be up for it on Sunday.

As for games against other opposition, with our current "kids team" making mistakes week in week out and another crap signing by CC is "our new RB signing Towell who was pretty gash last year and can't get into the Celtic team", i can only think that the fans that do turn up week in week out will be booing more and more!

Lets hope results get better:flag:

I really think that for the first time in many years we have a team of new players who want to be here. Either for Hibs (O'Connor, Sproule, Griffiths, Towell) or for Colin (Airey, Agogo, Osbourne, Thornhill, Sodje) or because they developed here (young team)

If they can give that committment to Hibs then we cannot be found wanting. It's not about merely paying our money - it's all about actively supporting the players who wear the green and white

Sorry lads, I'm sure this has been answered in many other threads but - where are the singing section seated? Only tickets I could get were upper tier, somewhere near the sides . I'd like to think the whole stand will be singing but you know what those 'sideys' can be like...
