Derby County manager Nigel Clough has placed former Celtic, Motherwell and Scotland midfielder Stephen Pearson on the transfer list. (Daily Record)

Could he be the answer to our left mid problem?

Would be a great signing for us IMO but i suspect deeply that he will stay in the Championship !

I see Lee Miller has just signed for Carlisle on a free transfer from Middlesbrough - not exactly Strachan's finest moment, paying £500K for him: -

It's strange how a manager can lose their judgement when they have to chose players in a lower price bracket, Strachan is way past his sell by date these days. As for Pearson he would be a good signing for us but he would need to take a massive hit in wages for that to happen.
