RIP Danny, a good Hibby. I was in Danny's class at primary school at Towerbank and for the first couple of years at Portobello High School before he went to Watsons. A quiet lad at High School who I didn't know all that well but an Easter Road regular and indeed he had a season ticket in the row behind me in the East Terracing until it was knocked down. I think he might have been working as a teacher for the last few years.

For anyone to be taken aged 31 is a complete tragedy but when it's someone you know and see at games regularly it's a double whammy. Let's hope we get a win tomorrow night for Danny, he'll be watching somewhere. :flag:

Sad to hear of someone dying like that. Easy as falling off your bike.

Danny was a flatmate at Uni with a good mate. Spent many a game over the past few seasons sitting near him in the East, old and new. Loved to talk about Hibs. An absolute tragedy to die so young. Here's hoping Hibs turn in a worthy performance on Sunday.

I actually read this story yesterday because a family member is currently in hospital after coming off his bike over the weekend as well. He has a suspected fracture in the neck but I don't think there's anything to be overly concerned about.

It just shows how easy it can be. To die at 31 is really tragic.

Condolences to all who knew him.

I didn't know Daniel but that's a tragic story. Far too young.

I know that road quite well, if he was going from Kenmore, heading south then there are some steep and winding downhill sections where you could certainly get some speed up.

RIP Danny

Danny was a good lad with a very positive outlook on everything and everybody. He was a friend at school and a good fellow hibby.

RIP Danny. You'll be missed.

Glen Quaich from either direction is the toughest roadbike climb in the county up here , maybe one of the toughest in Scotland.....tough climb usually means dodgy descent .....really bad luck for the guy and that's what it is...had a few close ones myself there......god bless him and his family......hadn't reckoned a fellow East Stander would be venturing up to our remote corner of the world.

Danny was a good mate of mine. It's great to see so many people saying such nice things. In life he always brought people together and it seems he's still doing it now. We miss him but he lives on in our memories.

RIP Danny Pace
