We have only won 6 games at home since March 2010. What a joke.

I think the fans have to look at themselves. They cost the club £100,000 regularly and it obviously affects the ability to attract quality signings.

The money gained from the players siphoned off for the mega bucks!

Beggars belief!

time to support a real team?

Ah right, I understand now.

It's just there was a thread the other day about how we had only won so many games at home since beating Kilmarnock in March 2010 so that's what's confused me!

The sad fact of the matter is, people (myself included) cant justify £30-40, every fortnight to see something the dont particularly like doing. If people are facing higher fuel bills, under-inflation pay rises(=pay cut), and having to cut out luxuries as a result, take-aways, nights out etc, then going to watch hibs comes into the luxury category. If your not enjoying your luxury, and all your friends aren't either and/or are stopping going, then what reason other than blind loyalty to the club would people have for going when the product on offer is of a fairly low standard?

You also have to consider the influnce of children on parents, you dont want to be dragging your kids kicking and screaming to ER when they would rather be at timetwisters/megabowl etc.

The club has a duty to invest in a product which increasingly fickle consumers want. At the moment the whole package is lacking at ER imho.

One of these home wins was with our "managerless" team. So in effect, only 4 wins by Petrie's appointed managers in 1.5 years at ER?

That record makes my eyes bleed. When did we last beat a top 4 team at home!?

Top 4 of last season were Rangers Celtic Hearts and Dundee Utd. The last time we beat one of them at home was Hearts March 2009. Celtic December 2008 and Dundee Utd September 2008

Get fed up of all these 'it's the fans fault' for Hibs not doing well. We have shown that Hibs can get around 13000-14000 for games against smaller teams when the team is playing decent football - and that's probably the limit for the smaller team games whilst all we're competing for is 3rd or 4th place - although for Rangers Celtic & Hearts we would get more.

There is also an economic slowdown right now. Lots of people lost their jobs - the safe world of banking isn't so safe anymore.

8000 to watch that standard of football is pretty good going.

Hibs had the chance to build on the Cup win 4 years ago and have ****ed it up since then, it's not the fans fault.

not a truer word spoken, we have the 2 owners to thank for the way the club is run, and sadly it won't get any better..

Are you seriously that naive? Bertie Auld once said Hibs have around 5000 die-hard fans, it takes a special kind of person to be able to watch terrible football + defeat week after week, there are other things to do in life.

Even Rangers & Celtic's crowds have dropped to around 10000 at hard times.

As soon as I saw the thread title I wondered how many times we would feature in that list. Like yourselves we always seem to give teams that cannae win a victory

Have patience. It will take time for Calderwoods new signings to blend and the side is learning lessons with every defeat. The good times are just around the corner. :greengrin

Never before has the song "Can we play you every week?" been so close to the truth!

Just not at Rugby Park! :greengrin

That is an even more appalling record. Distinct possibility of going 3 years without beating a top 4 side at home.

So we havent beat them at ER for a while. We have beaten them all on their own patch since so it really is discussion that has little bearing on anything.
