Arthur Duncan, my second game in 1981 (i think) vs an internation eleven. Think it was 3-2, I still have the programme.
Gordon Hunter, the last player to have one, which is a sad indictment of things.

Alan Sneddon versus Villa?

4-2 to Hibs - Keith Wright hat-trick?

I remember going to one as a fairly young lad. Think Strachan played for Hibs, but I've NO idea of the opposition or score. Was definitely in the 90s though. Would this have been Geebsie's?

Yes I was there must have been 1990-1992ish, was worth the admission money alone to see King Kenny turn out for Hibs!

Here are the ones I can remember:

15 September 1952 - Gordon Smith Hibernian 7 V Manchester United 3
15 December 1958 - Lawrie Reilly Hibernian 9 V International Select 3
30 April 1978 - Pat Stanton Hibernian 2 V Celtic 1
3 May 1981 - Arthur Duncan Hibernian 3 V International Select 4
5 August 1984 - Jackie McNamara Hibernian 0 V Newcastle 3
3 October 1988 – Gordon Rae Hibernian 0 V Manchester United 3
14 October 1991 – Alan Sneddon Hibernian 4 V Aston Villa 2
9 September 1996 – Gordon Hunter Hibernian 3 V Coventry 2

For anyone interested .... Not a Hibernian testimonial but one for one of my favourite Hibs Players, took place on 23 August 1982 for Alex Cropley while he was playing for Portsmouth. The game, at Fratton Park, was Portsmouth V Aston Villa, who were the European Cup holders at that time and ended up as a 4 -3 win for Villa

Yip this is the only one ive been to - 9 September 1996 – Gordon Hunter Hibernian 3 V Coventry 2

Strachen played a half for us if i remeber and a half for coventry (im sure he was player/player manager at the time) and IIRC he should have also been sent off

I think Strachan was Assistant to Ron Atkinson??? He was reluctant to take the penalty late on in the game, but did and scored the winner!!!

I'm not really sure John, I think he only played the one season with them, his last? I found this old article (http://www2.portsmouthtoday.co.uk/blogs/bygone_blues/2008/10/alex-cropley-i-was-spent-force-by-time.html) about him which would suggest it was.

Injury appears to have blighted his game again, as it had throughout his career, but despite all his problems he was still a brilliant player, a joy to watch and one of my all time favourites. :not worth

Absolutely, one of my favourites too :agree:

I only asked about the length of time because of all the talk surrounding Ian Murray's length of service etc. Sodjer played one season with Portsmouth and got a testimonial which speaks volumes for the way the club must have regarded him.

Still see Crops at ER at most home games - still a Hibby through and through :aok:
