Not sure about left midfield position. Spoony, Galbraith, Stevenson not hit form yet so will give to place to Murray, basically because he is team captain.

I like Palsson as a player but I don't think playing him at right back and midfield at the same time is the right thing to do, I think CC will go with 11 different players.

Is it possible this is a smokescreen as you would imagine a guy getting trials at clubs would be playing bounce games and training to see if he is up to it.

Agree in principle but i'd make a couple of small changes, i don't particularly like stephens and Hanlon at the back together, think its an accident waiting to happen and we need experience in there, also think wotherspoon needs to be taken out the first team for a bit cos his confidence looks shattered.

If it's not working we could look to bring on Airey, Sodje and Agogo (pressuming he's got international clearance now!), similair to a game at rugby park a few years ago when we were getting beat at half time i think and brought Sproule and a couple of others on at half time and completely changed the game.

I dont mind the idea of Booth at left midfield in fairness. I remember CC tried that away at St Johnstone last season when he was getting a bit of a hard time. I can remember Hanlon having a mare at LB a couple of seasons ago away at Killie, but he has come on since then.
Hard thing about this round of fitures is I have not seen any of these teams play, like us most seem to change their squads quite a bit and on that basis it is hard to say how we should be shaping up. They seem to have lost a few pacy players and scorers over the past six months in the grunt that is now at hertz and Salmon.
I think it is easy for CC to decide to leave the new boys out / on the bench, it would be a crap idea to throw them in from the start IMO. However the idea of the back four certainly seems to be what he is looking for and would make us pretty dangerous from set pieces...provided we can get the ball in!

I wasn't at the Sunderland game but i believe de graaf had a decent game so might be an idea to leave booth at left back, drop stephens or hanlon, push stevenson out to left wing and bring in de graaf.
Regardless, like you i wouldn't be starting with the new guys, if they're not fully up to speed yet bring them off the bench once others have tired a bit, if they start and get injured or have a mare it could cause more damage than having a bad start against killie would

My team based on players being fit and how I've seen them play so far this season. The fitness of O'Hanlon, Scott, Sodje, Agogo, Osbourne was still in doubt as far as I was aware and obviously Hart is out for quite a while so definitely won't be involved.
For me it is a toss up between Crawford & Spoony and as the latter picked up an injury against Sunderland maybe he won't be good for 90 minutes. It will be nice to have some attacking options on the bench though and hopefully we might see Agogo and Airey at some point (after the points are safe of course....)

agogo, sodge and o'hanlon all on bench if fit, cant see them playing from start if they are
osbourne CC has already said is a few weeks away from playing due to lack of match fitness.
i would geuess the team would set up like that with airey dropping back to play a more attacking central midfield role where he can make space for sproule and DG/Spoony and recieve the ball from the wing and lay though to gaz and also a link between the CM and able to spray out wide to any runs that our wingers make. also im sure airey will be trying to make an impression so would image he will have a shoot on sight mindset which can only be good as if it doesnt go in the net or wide there is a good chance of the keeper parrying it and gaz i would hope would be there to pick up any loose balls in the box :hibees

Nothing to do with that, just don't rate the guy.
Same reason that Eddie De Graaf doesn't feature much.

Positive he is right footed, he may be able to use his left which would be a bonus.
I would wager heavily it will be Hanlon and either O'Hanlon or Stephens.
IMO opinion O'Hanlon will only play in central defence if Stephens doesn't and vice versa.
