I had them on my bet last week. I think they will have a half decent season this year. Made some good signings. Thompson from Burnley is very good.

Danny Lennon has made a few shrewd signings this summer I think the buddies will do well this season.

they have a very good forward line with Teale, Thompson and hasselbank. Thats a very experienced forward line and i think they might have a decent season

I was there today - decent game.

The Buddies are much improved, and were the better side with 11 men each. Their ball retention was good.

Hasselbaink tormented the Arabs back 4. He was MOTM until his red card - for an elbow on Dixon (didn't see it, and the latter didn't seem badly injured - he was booked later for a dive also). Lennon has made good signings such as Hasselbaink, Thompson, Teale .. All 3 played well.

FWIW, Rankin played well and DVZ was solid.

He was good against us at the end of last season.

St.Mirrens two big signing (Teal and Thompson) are being paid by sponsors not the club. 5 SPL clubs have a wage cap of £1200 a week. Mcalister who signed part time at Peterhead makes more playing part time and working than what he was offered by two SPL clubs. Source an agent.

I know a St Mirren player earning > £1,200 a week. So I don't think your source is correct L.

Good source not normally one to just mouth off.

Maybe £1,200 ceiling is for new deals - existing deals are higher - deinitely.

I think Hasselbaink would have been an excellent signing for us ,strong, pacey and works his thrupenny bits off , the perfect foil for Garry Oconnor

Hasselbaink suspended for the Hibs game

He'll be suspended next week for their game against Motherwell. Then if he's gone over the points threshold (which is highly unlikely this early in the season) he'd miss the game following their game against Hibs.
