Keen to see the big fella in action!

Did Calderwood not say he thought Junior would be available for the Killie game?

:agree: Correct.

Calderwood insists the break from competitive action gives him breathing space in his bid to get strikers Apoko Sodje and Junior Agogo fit.

He added: "We will see how they fare in the next few days, but we would be pushing them to make the Kilmarnock game next week to be honest. They are both going quite well. I think the Edinburgh derby at the end of the month may be a more realistic target for Junior and Akpo.

So they could be absent for the St Mirren match as well.

Well whenever he does play, hopefully the stadium announcer belts this out and of course he scores.

If this is the case I hope the other striker CC is looking for comes in before the Killie match, going until the end of the month with just GOC up front isn't a great situation to be in.

Actually one of the only advantages I can see from this friendly is that it is one less game with Garry up front on his own..
