View Full Version : Hibs supporters can help make EVERY home game a GREEN DAY

Hibs12thMan

On Friday, in a major decision, the Directors of Hibernian FC gave the go ahead to install storage under the East Stand for our growing flag collection. Over a dozen huge flags and banners already loaned by Hibs supporters far and wide. 100 flags bought for the Celtic game. The Hibs12thMan banner. The Hibs.Net and possibly the 2 Bounce Flags. There will now be room to take further loans of flags and to build up our collection - with your support.

A Hibs Season Ticket holder has made a marvellous offer to supply the storage at a discount price and a speedy delivery time of 2 weeks. Hibs will install free of charge. We now need Hibs Supporters from near and far to help us raise around £400 as a one-off capital expenditure to make it possible to have regular flag displays at Easter Road for seasons to come. A Green Day EVERY every home game. :flag:

Let us know by posting here if you are able to help with a contibution and please make your payment via PayPal to: Hibs12thMan@hotmail.co.uk (Hibs12thMan@hotmail.co.uk) . When you're paying, let us know your user name and 'Hibs.Net Green Day Storage' somewhere in the narrative so we know who you are and what you're paying for - thanks. If you wish to pay by cheque, you can get details of that option via private message to Hibs12thMan.

If you haven't used PayPal for a while ...
Log in at www.paypal.com (http://www.paypal.com) click the 'Send Money' tab, type Hibs12thMan@hotmail.co.uk (Hibs12thMan@hotmail.co.uk) in the 'To' box, type the amount, hit continue. On the next page scroll down and enter a short message with your user name and 'Hibs.Net Green Day Storage' and hit 'Send Money'. If you haven't used Paypal before it's a fairly easy process to sign up.

Thanks for your continuing support - and remember - we are ALL Hibs12thMan.

I know for a fact that a lot of the users of this site sleep on bundles of cash every night and bathe everyday in water heated up by burning £10 notes. I don't think it will take long to get the dosh you need

We bought 100 flags and they were used for the opening game of the season against Celtic. It's fair to say that if we had anticipated that Hibs were going to respond so favourably to the storage proposal we might have held these funds back.

Having said that, with everyone's generosity to date we are already more than 2/3 of the way to our total of £400

Take a bow lads and lassies :not worth

Perhaps its time to set up a subscription with some sort of monthly draw - cash signed stuff. That way the Hibs 12th Man has a better idea of budget and dont need to come on here so often with the begging bowl

Almost over the finishing line folks a final push today should see us secure the amount required. It's amazing when you look at the hibs family sending Sterling, Australian Dollars and Euros. Massive Thanks to you all.

If you are going to the Sunderland game then yes. With any luck we are hoping to meet our target before the St Mirren game on Aug 20th

Let us know AM

Certainly something to consider Jack - thanks for your suggestion

However as far as we can recall, this is the first time since we were formed in June 2010 we have asked for donations on these messageboards - that is unless there's a phantom Hibs12thMan out there doing likewise :greengrin

Yup - Big Derry was developing flag ideas long before Hibs12thMan got off the ground. He is part of the Signing Section but did the memorial flag fundraiser off his own back - hats off to the guy

Thanks EC - we expect a couple of cash donations as well as your PAYPAL on Saturday. We are close to our target but allowing for VAT and delivery charges we may need a bit over.

If all the promised donations (including yours) are realised we might be able to make an announcement during the Sunderland game :greengrin
