With our track record of a tight wage structure & reluctance to pay cash for players I just can't see anyway we will either pay up in transfer fee or wages for Le Fondre

It would be a wonderful coup, and a move that would get the fans back. Sadly as you say, it doesn't look likely.

Anyone else hoping no 10 has been ear marked for a specific signing we are hoping to secure or at the very least for one of a number of tragets we are trying for but being held up on due to clubs still making decisions.

Really hoping the number 10 goes to a small, quick and skillful, prolific goalscorer (think we are well covered for big strikers now!) or a quality attacking box to box midfielder or playmaker as we lack these.

Sadly these sort of players are the most expensive sorts.
