upgrade help

Need some help with accessing hibs net on my laptop as after the upgrade its not happening, getting various error messages. Have cleared caches etc etc.

Any advice would be great!

What us OS? Also I sent link from my phone in email and I opened up and still get error message. One says holding page, back soon. Other says the requested URL content.php was not found on this server. Apache/e.2.3 (red hat) server at www.hibs.net port 80

sounds like DNS issues. DNS entries are automatically updated - some ISP have longer caching than others so it takes longer for the new server to kick in.
Normally not anything you can do about it, it'll kick in when it's time.

you can hard code the hibs.net ip into your hosts file if you want but it'll mess you up the next time we move (dont think you'll be able to do it on your mobile).

Try a real basic thing.

Type in the adress http://www.hibs.net manually.

Your error sounds linked to the server update but I believe it has completed. And I don't think your port number should be affected.

if you can access http://176.56.58.105 then it's a dns issue.
You can try rebooting your laptop (if the pc works and laptop doesnt and they share the same broadband).
failing that you'll need to wait until the DNS updates feed back to your ISPs DNS.

Tried that buyt didn't work, will sort it tomorrow as busy watching hearts get beat :)

I'm on my i phone at the so no probe there, I too can't access site, page says.....holding page, back soon Hibs.net. Sigh

Well came down this morning and typed in address again and voila, we have hibs.net back on my laptop, oh joy, happy lad for the rest of the day. :greengrin:not worth
