With all the negativity on this board at the moment I've decided to stick to the PM board for the time being. I find it so depressing all the in fighting going on with threads actively seeking to remove our chairman and manager. Regarding CC, why has everyone jumped on what he didn't say rather than what he did. I can't remember the exact wording but he did say "Nothing excites me more than the job I have" but no all the discussion has been about if he really wants to be here, well that quote suggests he does. As for Petrie, he has been good and bad for this club. Is it time he went? I don't know, but for all those who were happy to see Riordan go, be careful what you wish for.

I know all is not rosy down at Easter Road but some of the stuff on here is just getting out of hand and making the situation worse. Hopefully Hibs will soon be back to wining ways and the mood will lift and I'll start to enjoy reading the posts again but at the moment I'm a very depressed secret agent.

I'm thinking of doing the same, not be on the main board as much recently- it just gets tedious and repetitive.

Toys and pram spring to mind!

Forums are all about opinions DM and as we are all Hibs fans, we are due a say without being called doom and gloomers and negative glory hunters. Maybe if some of you guys stopped prattling on about negativity, concerned fans opinions on what is happening at ER and blaming the stay away fans, it might not be as bad. However, you guys who are content with the situation and prefer to wait and see? Appear to be in the minority now and all you are doing is hiding!

Good luck!

I dont think anyone really is of the opinion that our situation is ideal or that they are particularly content with it. They do however rather support Hibs rather than looking for any opportunity to have a pop at the club.

:tee hee:

Send in a photocopy of your ST card or a receipt from the club shop to show your support. :greengrin

Come to think of it, it's probably quite a good idea, you could have a separate section for financial supporters.

There would probably be alot more concentrated discussion on certain topics rather than getting diluted with crap from messageboard loudmouths.

Pretty much what the PM board tries to achieve.

I'm glad you said that and not me :greengrin

It would be unworkable though and would simply be an invitation only group of pals.

We're only 2 or 3 results away from sanity returning. It's just getting those 2 or 3 results

:agree: When we went on that unbeaten run last season this place was so much more enjoyable than it is the now.

I agree to an extent with that comment but I always got the impression that the praise from some was grudged and others were simply biding their time until they could put the boot in again.

What's the criteria? What about those who pump hundreds/thousands into the club every year - are they supporters? Presumably that does far more good to Hibs than someone having a grumble on here will harm them?

The OP is drama-queen-ery at it's finest. It's akin to someone posting "I'm leaving" on a messageboard, "No, I am", "Right, that's me away", "See you guys", "This is my absolute last post"......

The rest of the thread is just an excuse to have an uber-fan circle jerk and that's from an ST holder (although not a mute, unquestioning one).

Every forum gets folk like this "I won't be back" and "this is my last post".

Most of them just want a "oh please don't leave " response.

Agree 100%.

I have purchased season tickets for my boys and myself for yonks, used to go to my fair share of away games (5-1 gubbing by St.J was the last straw for me), always get the home and away football tops for my sons, have boughts shares in the club and yet I get some "complete person" (to use Holloway's speak from last season) who seems to class me as a non-supporter just because I have become increasingly negative at the way Hibs are being managed at the moment.

If you are happy with thirteen wins, nine draws and thirty-two losses in the last fifty-four SPL games, well that is up to you. I am not!

The optimist in me says we will beat ICT on Saturday - I will be there supporting my team as I always do - will you Danger Mouse and all your 'pals'? The realist in me says why bother!

Is it? A few agreeing with the OP that they will do the same, more than a few just taking the mickey and a few aggressively putting the OP down.
I get what you are saying about what constitutes a supporter. I prefer the loosest definition possible, if somebody is happy to identify themselves as such and pass the time of day talking about Hibs that does me. Which pretty much covers everybody here.
I may start a rival unthinking mute uberfan forum though. Although it will be very quiet. :greengrin

We have much more important things to worry (and argue) about than this.
