BBC reporting he's signed a 1 year deal- looks like the super J's will have a decent forward pairing.

Could have done a job, but rather injury prone.

:agree:I'd have been happy enough if we signed him, but it would definitely have had to be partly pay-per-game. Interesting though that a team with 4000 fans and a careful chairman are still signing players that could have done a better job for us than most of our current squad.

Would rather have oconnor and akpo than sandaza but we do need more strikers

I can't say I ever watched Sandaza and thought he would be a good signing. Are the Saintees dancing in the streets?

How is a celtic fringe player who has bombed in Bulgaria better than what we have at present? Never mind who might be signed instead of him.

CSKA Sofia are probably the most successful Bulgarian football team, so there's no shame in him not starting every game over there. Wouldn't exactly say he 'bombed'. And like it or not, Celtic's 'fringe' team would probably give our first team a doing. Personally I'd take Sheridan over Sodje any day of the week (preferably have them both though), but each to their own.

Their first team couldnt give us a doing without Sodjie so I doubt their "fringe" team could. Sheridan could have been a good signing but I didnt see him running riot against ten men in his first game back for the Super J's. Is he worth what we might have had to pay for him. I dont know but Calderwood must have thought better of it.

Guess it's all about opinions at the end of the day.

I'm sure Calderwood would have been aware of his availability. For a change they didn't outbid us as we weren't in for him

We need players in but they don't have to be the same ones St Johnstone go for.

I don't mind if the club are waiting until the right players become available. Just as long as we don't sign the right players at the wrong time.

A week ago I would have bet on them to go down. Sandaza & Sheridan are good signings, as are Teale & Thompson at the buddies.

Hope the Pars are dire or we're ****ed.

Sandaza was a cracking player for Utd. How many games did he play last season? And was he injured?
