I'm making myself depressed under the cloud of doom on here, so, just by means of a wee change can I just say I'm really looking forward to next weeks trip!

Not so sure about the game though!

Anyone else heading down on the 0746 train from Hmkt?

We're on the 12:06 from Bolton. A steady crawl down the prom to get to the Travelodge in time for check in. Stayed there last weekend for a couple of nights and it was absolutely spot on. Just hope the weather is a bit better or at least less than a gale force wind!

Really looking forward to going to Blackpool. Not because of the football, but just because I love Blackpool.

Know how you feel and hope you enjoy it! Watch out for BH while you're down there - he carries his own substantial cloud of doom around with him. (Green grin smiley attempted but doesn't seem to work)

0952 from Edinburgh. Into Blackpool about half 2. Dump bags at hotel then bevy. Jackpot! :greengrin

Anyone changing trains at Preston and staying at the South Shore Travelodge might be better finding a train to Blackpool South and then it's only a 5 minute walk across the car park to the hotel rather than a 2 mile trek down the prom from Blackpool North.

No sweat! 3.25 hours with a pee stop. Might have made the trip a few times before:wink:

Ah yes Lytham, a rather nice spot. No fat huns or smakhead tims to be found in OF replica tops swilling buckfast on the streets there!! and of course The Taps, the best pint to be found on the Fylde Coast. :agree:
