£30k a year if they reffed a match in each SPL week.

Seems not bad for half a day a week!

On an hourly rate allowing about 5hrs of their day given over to this its the equivalent of someone earning about £300k a year.

More than a lot of players and that's not even considering they have to train for another 5 mornings.

Found this on a football website which shows what each official is paid for one match. Although premier league refs have a retainer of £52,000 a year which includes them being obliged to attending training sessions.

They spanish refs must be good, our lot as stated above should be on £40 + expences. :greengrin
