Buying football teams through foreign buyers.Too much to explain, if You can, watch it on channel 4 +1...... well worth a viewing.Bryan Robson's football career has to be finished now.

It just shows how dangerous all this foreign ownership is. I would be terrified if I was a fan of an english football team. hibs may be going through a bit of upheaval in the eyes of some but at least, on the face of it anyway, we are safe from that.

Wonder what Bryan Robson's excuses will be, he looked well dodgy.

I'll never watch it again after it done an "episode" on my work(Royal Mail) a few years ago and was so devoid of fact it was unreal, complete one sided nonsense while only picking out parts which suited their agenda.They later had to issue an apology for their excuse of a program.the NOTW of channel 4 IMO.

I think the rule about ownership is to do with owning clubs in the same association :dunno:

Remember Romanov slavering about how he could have bought Liverpool but walked away from it? I wonder if it was these shady characters.

When you get down to the nitty gritty, it's not actually anything that surprising. It's only the multiple ownership that is corrupt and against the rules. The FA clearly need to change their rules to make ultimate ownership completely transparent asap.

Putting aside the multiple ownership, they weren't proposing anything illegal. The guy Sim and Robson were talking about investing in football teams, leveraging off their relationships with EPL managers to get players on loan in an attempt to develop a team to the point of promotion to the EPL, when they'd then sell. Nothing in those plans offers a guaranteed return, it would still be as much of a lottery as anyone else investing in football.

Bit of a fuss about nothing really, although it was quite funny when SurAlex was on the phone.

I missed the beginning but I recorded it on the V box. Interesting section I'm watching just now where the head dodgy guy is saying you can get good players without buying them by exploiting the loan system.

Seems so far as if the reporters proposed club is dodgy as hell. 'Big money' which never appears and no players being bought cos you can loan them in instead...

Can't see that taking off in Edinburgh at all...:wink:

Aye it's on 4oD watched it this afternoon :agree:

It's worth a watch to see how much of and erse Robson is, although I dont know if Fergie is at it or not I cant see him being vewy pwoud of Man U's Global Ambassador :faf:
