Do they only have to play one qualifier?

No, two.

They play their first game in the 3rd qualifying round. If they get past that tie, they'll go through to the play off round (which is also a 2 legged knockout) and then if they also win that, they'll then go through to the group stage.

Only if they get through to the play off round.

The first leg of the third qualifying round is 28th July and the second leg is on 4th August.

The first leg of the play off round is 18th August with the second leg on 25th August.

We play them 3 days after that second leg on 28th August.

Gods sake.. They might have the game on the Thursday but when it comes to match fitness , they would be 4 games ahead..

I hope they don't get FK Sarajevo, that would be an awesome trip and those tramps don't deserve it.

While a few of those teams look an easy draw, the sad reality is (as we've found out in recent years) that the majority of teams in european competition are of a higher technical level than our representatives and none should be taken for granted. Still, I hope they get Hajduk Split!

Yams get Tromsų IL or Hungarian side Paksi

they drew 1 1 in Hungary in the 1st leg so i'd imagine its a trip to norway

Tough draw:agree: they are 14 games into their season and are second :greengrin

Yup, nightmar journey by car or very costly flights. The Norwegians also play on Astros turf!

I thought this was the easy leg of super JJ Jambo Euro adventure!

Glentoran FC (NIR)/FC Vorskla Poltava (UKR) v Sligo Rovers FC (IRL)

Looks like the Ukrainians as they won 2 0 at Glentoran last night.

I cannae be bothered checking on my phone, but, IIRC Tromso falls inside The Artic Circle, not an easy/cheap trip!

It's just shy of 200 miles inside the arctic circle, when the Yams go it'll be just at the end of the couple of months of "midnight sun" so the place will look stunning (think hazy blue sky, one of the best places in the world for viewing the Norther Lights), it's a beautiful place but the inhabitants are a bit mental (which is understandable living that far up!), the grunts will fit right in!

It is above the arctic circle. Basically they are looking at £500+ for flights, £100+ for a hotel room per night and £8-9 a pint. On top of that there's a fair chance that this will be their only european trip this season. :greengrin

Tee Hee! In all honesty these are the sort of things following your team are all about. Im sure anyone that made it to Dnipro would concur!

It is inside the Arctic Circle. It's one of the most northerly cities in the world.

I don't think it's possible to get a direct flight from Scotland to Tromso. I think you need to get at least two flights and the cheapeast flight was just over £600.

The Yams had better pack their thermos flasks as they're going to get very cold hanging around outside school gates up there.

If Tromso were to lose to Paksi...
Worth having a look at Paksi's home strip!

Goes without saying that I hope they get absolutey pumped...

However, I would fancy our chances of beating either of those teams so I think they will probably progress to the next round... unfortunately.
