As a Flyers fan who had given who had given up hope of this happening I am delighted. It'll be a tall order to raise a team from scratch and compete but I'm confident we'll do so, possibly with less imports than the other teams.

Without sounding like an Old Firm fan, I'd also say this is a major boost for the other Scottish teams in the league as Flyers traditionally take the biggest travelling support to Scottish rinks. Anything between 300-500 fans visiting the other rinks 4-5 times a season is a sizeable cash boost and hopefully everyone benefits.

I sincerely hope Fife remain in the top league for the rest of their existence as that is where they should be-however ice-hockey in the UK is hardly stable!
