Is that the infamous yamonomics at play? In what way is the difference in the number of years between 1874 and 2011, 125?

Hertz have a special relationship with everything Royal. Who can forget their recent "free ticket if your name's anything like Billy but not Tim" offer? Royal Madrid were busy on the day so Antwerp was the next best.

Aren't Antwerp the mob that reported them to UEFA a few years ago for non-payment of a transfer fee?

Cracking looking fixture, if the truth be known. I wouldn't be surprised if they switch the match to Murrayfield to accommodate the demand in ticket sales.

Methinks that was Genk, cant remember the name of the player but he was supposedly a superfast winger who cost them a fair whack and played about 6 games for them :greengrin

Think that was Genk over Beslija. Same country though!

Has there been an indication of any reason for playing Antwerp? Like the Essen thing with us a few years back...

It's the long overdue return leg of a match that was played on Christmas Day in 1916.

Antwerp lead 2-0.

Ok now, let's all get off the back of the great old! They're a semi decent team with some brilliant fans!

Why did the Belgian confuse his indefinite articles?

Because he was An Twerp.

it's been several hours since I replied to this thread and still it baffles how pathetic some people get over a non-story.

So they are playing Antwerp...chairman wow!

We're playing Barnsley, that champions league winning team for the last 12 years running

Get over it

I think you getting your knickers in a twist over this thread is worse than any of the thread content!

It's because the yams liberated Antwerp a couple of times.

it's been several hours since I attempted to draw attention to myself by finding a new way of critiscising Hibs and it still baffles me how nobody seems to be taking the bait.

I think what I'll do is use a cringeworthy attempt at pun humour which is totally unrelated to the subject being discussed, then throw in a bit of ridiculously random sarcasm to sweeten the deal.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to make some grandiose statements about the impossibility of Hibs ever re-signing a former player, probably involving a promise that I'll juggle dog **** outside Easter Road on the first day of the season, while riding a unicycle and dressed as Sunshine the Leith Lynx, if they ever do.
