Good to see young Scottish talent coming through but has this lad really done enough to merit this price tag?

Probably only on potential as the lad does have quite a future, but in no way has he done enough performance wise to merit that tag.

£500K with add ons.

Considering that clubs down south are paying silly money (£15m plus) for guys who haven't even gained a full international cap for their country it doesn't look like a high price tag. Not exactly a costly gamble if it all fails.

If he stays fit, that could turn out to be a great price.

Fyvie is a cracking prospect.

For the EPL, even squad fillers go for double or treble that. His problem would be lack of football which is no use for a boy of his age.

I remember when James McCarthy was at Hamilton, folk on this board were scoffing at the figures of 1-2 million being bandied about for him and now he'd probably go for 10 times that.

A million quid is nothing to an EPL team.

Is he the guy Ian Murray wasnt allowed to tackle because he was just a "youngster"?

If I'm right alot of EPL teams are spending alot of money on young players with potential because if they train with them for 3 years prior to being 21 then they count as home grown under the new squad rules they have put in place. It's the reason why Liverpool were so desperate to get Wilson from Rangers even though he only had a year on his contract and they would have got him for much less at tribunal

If i was a Dons fan I'd be raging if they let him go for as little as 500k down. If he stays at Pittodrie and gets a bit of luck with injuries he'll be a stand out in the SPL next season.

The lad is very highly thought of throughout the Scottish game. When you see some of the fees asked for down south for teenagers I don't reckon its ridiculous.

What we would ask for Booth if an English team came in for him?
