Kevin Phillips has been released by Birmingham. 35 now, but knows where the goal is. Worth attempting to sign on a one year deal?

Why not? Thought he had a decent season last year. I don't for a minute think we could afford him but would love to have him.

dunno where i got 35 from. He could be well worth a punt, would score goals in SPL. Surely made enough money and wants to play some fitba?

If he came up here the bigot brothers would be the destination. Would reckon a number of Championship teams would be interested.

anyone who thinks that Phillips wouldnt score goals for fun in the SPL is kidding themselves. Even from the bench.

Even at 37 or whatever he is, he would be an excellent signing. Well out of our price range though.

The way to hook boys like these is to look for the player-coach idea maybe? Lots of pro's come up here to do the badges anyway.
