Does anyone know a rough price for getting a two bedroom house insulated.

Overall size is small to medium.

I could phone around but I'm only looking for a rough price eg more like 400 or 1000.

Give the Energy Saving Trust a call mate, they'll tell you what grants are available and if you can get discount through your energy supplier. I got my 2 bedroom house done for £120 through them recently.

Think it was roughly £90 to get the cavity wall insulation too.

Thanks mate. Will give that a try.

It's a rented property so was going to go halfers with the landlord.

They said that I could get it done if I wanted cos it's not in the house just now. Basically wanting me to pay but they'll be getting less rent, just not told them that's how it will be!

Make sure cavity wall is actually suitable. We had a lot round to us who surveyed it and gave us a very low price with the subsidy tou get but after agreeing to it was warned not to by a couple of fmaily members who are builders/engineers.

The problem is with new builds (like the last 30 years) there is meant to be cavity there and putting in insulation could lead to it getting wet and causing a lot of damp.
