Anyone know when they are actually due up before the SFA/SPL for their supporters assault on Neil Lennon as well?

I think that is something like seven years in a row they have been fined for their disciplinary record.

They've got some cheek appealing, they should be told 100k and no appeal in view of they're shocking record in recent years.

SEVEN consecutive seasons of fines. Its a conspiracy.

2 points from me

1) I don't really think it's fair fining clubs for poor discipline over the course of a season (I don't agree with cumulative suspensions for players either) - if a crime is bad enough it should be punished, but lots of 'normal' yellow/reds shouldn't result in a fine. Obviously since it's Hearts I'll make an exception... which leads nicely into the next point...

2) Surely if the SFA are to go down the route of fining clubs at the end of the season Hearts should be more severely censured for meriting a fine 7 years in a row. We know how rich Hearts are given all the interest they are collecting from themselves so these fines should surely be in the millions.

I disagree. We see many yellow cards given for deliberate fouls around the halfway line when teams are on the break. Red cards to stop goalscoring opportunities. And teams are meant to play the game in a "sporting fashion".
Hearts obviously aren't, and obviously aren't even trying to reign it in. Hammer them

A sending off for a professional foul should result in a 3 game ban for the player. Niggly fouls on the halfway line are part of the game, and if they don't merit reds at the time I don't see why they should be added up and punished months later. Hearts can rot, but £3k for a club like Stirling Albion and £2k for Montrose isn't right IMO.

All clubs know that they can be punished further down the line for their conduct, so it isn't a surprise.

It seems a bit strange that they should be fined when they actually improved their disciplinary record, compared with last year and they only got two more red cards last season than Inverness and they got praised for their players' conduct.

Apart from that, I completely agree with the decision. :agree:

It will be more to do with passing a certain threshold for reds, yellows and general fair play. They had 12 more yellows than any other club (us)

It was around £300 for an ST for the PBS next year for those first to book. Must be galling for the first 333 most Gorgie Loyal who bought their's on the first day to now learn that their investment is going straight to the SFA.:tee hee:

Its easy to be top of a table when the two weejie teams have no chance of winning it.

How many times against the ugly sisters do you hear folk say "if our player had done that he would have been booked/sent off"? Deliberate handball in Scottish Cup Final, a game changing moment, is a prime example.

Hate to sympathise with the Hertz but I know which two teams are the dirtiest most cheating barstewards in Scotland, and they wont ever ever get fined or points docked.

Hearts finances confuse me. As they only ever owe money to themselves, does this mean that a) the don't need to pay the football authorities this hundred grand, b) that they 'are' the football authorities (they've somehow swallowed them up) c) that this £100,000 is a different type of money from the £40m debt they are carrying?

Now dont take this thewrong way lads, but...............if it wasn't them I would feel sorry for the harsh treatment being handed out. Lets look at the facts without the Hibs-tinted glasses, they have cleaned up their act considerably since last season, half as many reds, they only have two more than ICT who were praised, we have more cards than them. I genuinly feel they are being harshly treated this year, Great isn't it

LESLIE DEANS today rounded on the SFA for its continual "victimisation" of Hearts and explained his fear that the record £100,000 fine imposed on the Edinburgh club could force owner Vladimir Romanov to consider quitting Scottish football.

'Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has claimed that referees are "slaves" to the Scottish Football Association and it was their poor decisions that have led to his club receiving a record £100,000 for a poor disciplinary record last season. (Various)' Magic

"I was staggered when I heard of this fine. Our disciplinary record improved considerably last season"

If the number of yellow cards rising from 79 (worst in league) to 86 (again worst in league) is what he believes to be a "consideral improvement" then I'd hate to think what it would have been if they hadn't been trying.

But if they are the worst in the league by a reduced margin does that not count as an improvement?

Over the last eleven seasons the Yams have the most Yellow cards (775) and the most Red cards (60)

Over the last eleven seasons the Yams have the most Yellow cards (775) and the most Red cards (60)

But the victimisation only started when Vlad took over ...

Since his involvement Hearts have been in the top 3 of the "bad boys league" (yellow cards) 6 times out of 7 seasons.

Based on the yellow cards for the 8 teams that have not been relegated during that time ..

Hearts 529
Hibs 492
Killie 446
Dundee Utd 431
Aberdeen 428
Rangers 405
Motherwell 388
Celtic 358

Maybe it's an anti-Edinburgh bias rather than just a Hearts one. :hmmm:
Although Celtic are clearly picked on ...

Red cards are a bit more random (although Hearts still managed a top 3 finish in 5 of the 7 seasons).

Hearts 49
Dundee Utd 41
Hibs 41
Aberdeen 29
Rangers 24
Kilmarnock 20
Celtic 19
Motherwell 17

Certainly stats that confirm that Celtic are indeed getting a raw deal ..
