If true would be happy with the second 2, not sure about the young guys on loan though. Never heard of the striker and doesnt Cairney get a game for Hull?

Newcastle being my english team, i've heard very good things about Airey, very highly thought of by Pardew.

Like the sound of this re O'Hanlon

His positional awareness, aerial dominance and downright bravery make him a horrible opponent for opposition strikers to come up against.

Hibs are eyeing Newcastle United striker Phil Airey.

The teen is well known to Hibs boss Colin Calderwood, who worked with Airey at Newcastle.

Airey made his first team debut earlier this season.

The Evening Chronicle says Hibs may seek a loan deal for the striker nearer the end of the January market.

Tom cairney would be a great signing, although I was under the impression he was a first team player at hull. Scotland u21 international as well

Is Airey not the young lad CC was after in january but then got injured, hence why Sodje was signed.

I hope we are not going down the loans and short term deals route, we need to bring in some folk on longer term deals, if they dont want to commit or we dont think warrent longer, walk away.

There is room for some players whom we would be able to sign normally so a loan is fine but we need stabilty not to be rebuilding again in 12mths.

I disagree. In the post Bosman era we are always going to be in transition. Any player at Easter Road doing the business (which is what we want!) will be in demand elsewhere and will have the salary demands to ensure he gets his move....

And we wont get a penny if its a short deal, long term commitment is needed.

He did get injured however think he is more of a Deek type player, quite thinly built than Sodje so dont think the two would be linked.
