View Full Version : Tickets What Else Can You Get For £405?

Someone mentioned 4 1/2 tanks of petrol the other day and it got me thinking of what else you can get for the price of an adult season ticket.

And to be honest, 18 home games over a period of 8 or 9 months isn't too bad!

Or you could have about 65 packets of ciggies.

Or about 120 pints.

There are worse things you could waste your money on :greengrin

Anything else?

With me my ST was competing with a membership for the council golf courses, that was around £400 a year as well for unlimited golf on all the council courses.

Decided to go for the ST as i'm pish at golf and at least with a season ticket it's an excuse to see my mates so i'm more likely to enjoy myself doing that than hacking about a golf course.

Well that certainly puts a few things into perspective. And it wouldn't even be one of the highest earners as it's not even £150k a year.

Thought about this before and instead of going to ER you could nip into Scorpio Sauna. £20 a throw and a lot more relaxing, plus still close enough to hear the roar of a Hibs goal.

Well, for me, its like this: I could buy either a second hand American precision bass or a brand new Hartke LH1000 amp head. Both of these come in at round about £450 and considering, I play in bands that get paid, they would eventually pay for themselves! So no brainer for me eh!?

Well its not really that simple. You get paid anyhow at the moment you say. So the question is will you get paid an extra 450 quid for simply having a erican precision bass or a brand new Hartke LH1000 amp head? If you will not get anything extra then your money would be better spent elsewhere.:agree:

I actually DID plump for the golf membership this year.

What I'm worried about is, as the summer progresses I'm going to want to renew my season ticket and end up paying for both of them. I need to be strong!

Anyone want their lawn mowed? Reasonable rates...

You could also sponsor 40 and a half children in Africa to go to school. AND you'd get the satisfaction of berating them by open letters if their grades weren't up to your unreasonably high standards. You could also sack their teacher on a near annual basis.

In the past few months, I've noticed that all of the supermarket chains ALWAYS have a small selection of non-premium bubble-bath (e.g. Radox; Imperial Leather etc....) on sale at £1 a bottle.

Yesterday afternoon, however, I bought my season-ticket, and turned my back on a years supply of Radox Tea-Tree. Does that make me a soap-dodger????

Aye what are they like. I had my credit card stolen a few years back but decided not to report it to the bank as the thief was charging less to the card than the wife used to.
