I recently had dealings with a company called D.J Alexander. They turned up 30 mins late to meet me to view a flat in Roseburn. When they got there the guy had the wrong key. Said he would contact me to make another appointment then didn't bother.

Murder. Avoid if your can.

What size of flat are you looking for? I know of a one-bedroomed place in Sloan Street.

Here's more slightly challenging questions.

My girlfriend and her kid need to move out of her current place by the end of June and receives rent money via DSS.

What we intend to happen is for us all to move into a new place at the same time but that obviously means that we'll need to pay rent as she'll lose DSS money.

Can anyone confirm what happens in this scenario? Does she just inform the council that's the intention and they cut the money or does it get stopped all together?

She obviously needs the time to get a job and start earning as well, at the moment it's not worth her working due to the rent money she receives and the childcare she'd need to pay but when we all move in together it should be more financially viable with two wages.

I say should because I know the current trap she's in where there's little point in working for the extra she'd receive but I also know the benefit system is a bit of a farce.

Has anyone made this transition before and is it easy enough?

S1rentals had the biggest range.

I really wanted one place but the letting agency, citylets, wanted 125 quid admin charge and a credit search would be performed. If you didn't pass they'd keep the 125. Joke.
