Why is it we are all excited about ex players coming back we need new players dont go back unless we can get Turnbells tornados back. so please lets look forward with new players a new future and hopefully a decent season with a couple of cup runs etc etc not players who did not want to stay for one reason or another.

I have never been so glad to see the back of a football season !!

Me to Leigh Griffiths 'You must be well made up to have signed for a premiership team and that or something, innit?

Leigh 'Not really, that's why I've moved my teepee next to yours outside Rod's house, Speedway'

Take from that what you will.

I'd be surprised. Will be a low earner and more than capable of playing every week at that level. I'd expect him to play for them next season then be replaced if they go back up.

Im not generally a fan of re-signing players from previous seasons. Murphy is different though; pure class.

Although we do keep saying that we haven't replaced these players, so who better to replace them with than themselves?

Dougie Bell was better.

Dougie Bell was quality. He was signed in 1986 just as I was beginning to appreciate/understand football properly - the Russell Latapy of my Primary school days!

He was a wee skinny black guy that was pals with Dwight Yorke as well then?

Skinny? Russell was wee, but he certainly wasn't skinny!

Dougie Bell's dribbling ability was superb, shame we don't have anyone with that ability in the current first team.

the only ex player i'd take back is Murphy.

the thought of having murphy left back and booth left midfield is tremendous! :agree:

I didn't disagree with CC trying out Booth at left mid against Aberdeen, but he certainly wasn't involved anywhere near as much as he normally is at LB, and was pretty ineffective.

Worth trying again perhaps (in a League Cup game against lowly opposition perhaps), but he looks more of a left back.

Fife Constabulary I believe.

:top marks for spelling, but going by this threads fashion, it should probably Dayve Bowmond.

48 appearances in 2 years in a league that has 46 fixtures each season. We did better out of that deal than Scunthorpe by quite a distance.

I'd take him back if he would walk barefoot from Middlesbrough to get here. Mind you he'd only end up injuring himself doing that and be out for a season.
