Aye good yin .. like it ... it was actually Panini sticker Album 1995 !!!!

Doubtful for either but could do worse ... both looking for first step into management I believe.

No inside info whatsoever just suggestions .... rather have either of these two than Duncan Shearer and Gareth Evans as posted on these boards.

Who would be your preferred option Wembley67 ??

I'd rather we got Randy Savage.

I think David Kerslake, Duncan Shearer and Iffonura Pastabaic are reasonable shouts.

i think a experianced player/assistant manager is the road to go down. Someone that the younger lads can look up to for some experiance.

I would be happy with IM getting his chance to learn the trade as an assistant manager with us.

Ian Murray?

For me that would not be a bad shout. He did some coaching at Coldstream and the guys though he was very good.

ScottB

I guess it depends on what kind of manager CC is, is he quite hands on, running training himself? In which case a guy like Ian Murray might be ideal. If he is the more standoffish type, leaving running training more heavily to his assistant, then I'd imagine we will see a more experienced guy come in.

It's far too early for Ian Murray to be considered.

There's a HUGE gulf between coaching an East of Scotland League side on a part time basis and being an Assistant Manager of an SPL team.

Experienced centre half that can double up as assistant manager.

If I was CC I would want someone I had previously worked with.

Having now set out the requirements I have to admit I don't know if anybody fits the bill.

Of course there is but whoever gets picked we will all argue if, firstly, he's Hibs class and the appointment shows lack of ambition and secondly, who actually gave him the job and CC knows nothing about it. It will all end with calls for Petrie to go and Farmer to hand over control to someone who knows about football.

Experience is nice, but let's not get to hung up on it. Someone who CC gets on with and, crucially, whose opinion he values is going to be the right person.

And if our new assistant turns out to be Jose Mourinho, all the better

How about Davie Weir? Knows how to organise a defence, be a captain and what is required to win and win consistently. Also may be attracted by the assistant role although obviously has played for the wrong clubs he has done so at the top level and may even know CC from international playing days .

Ok, I will :greengrin

He's an odious, villainous little cretin who hirples around the park trying to referee every single game and never ever fails to show his cowardly and spineless manner by grabbing opponents by the throat, giving out verbals, pinching them in the back, leaving the foot in, feigning injury to cover his criminal lack of pace and all the while the media choose to ignore this and praise him for still being able to kick a ball at the age of 73. Well done, Weir, you horrible old flump, my old man's 63 and has the first touch of a s*x offender yet he could still cut it in this league.

He's a disgusting, cowardly old man and I sincerely hope that he gets put in his place good and proper by an opponent next season if the talentless zero's legs can handle another campaign.

Stevie Gerrard will back me up on this, he detests him as well.

I would note that they are the only constant through our recent years of players lacking fitness and being useless at the basics.

Whether they are responsible or not for that I don't know, but it rings a couple alarm bells in my head anyway...

Have you had personal dealings with him? The comments you make about trying to referee games or leaving the foot in and sly pinching in the back are things that centre halves have been doing for years and to be honest if we had someone at centre half or in the middle of the park who was a known dirty git we might get more respect.

As for feigning injury sadly he is not alone in this trait and is now all too common in our game, however, its the referee's job to manage this. Players will always try and get away with stuff.

There are lots of players who I consider to be c*nts - doesn't mean I wouldn't want them at Hibs though.
