I was sceptical about the review of the double jeopardy law at first, but hopefully this will mean justice for the Lawrence family at last.

Good news. Re double jeopardy it was almost inevitable it would be changed sooner or later given scientific advances. Accused should always still get a fair trial but if it leads to justice then can only be a good thing.

Is there a limit on how many times you can now be tried? Say they get off again can they then be retried again and again until they are finally found guilty?

According to this article when the double jeopardy law was repealed an acquitted person can only be retried once.

Got a funny feeling this will end in tears. Which is a shame for the family.
I reckon a good lawyer will get this thrown out of court.
Hope i'm wrong.
