As the title says, Paul Hartley is set to become the new manager of Alloa.

Not sure why but he doesn't strike me as manager material.

He was on Radio Scotland on Saturday being interviewed. He explained his reasons for retiring from the game and touted himself shamelessly for just such an opportunity, to get himself on the first rung of management.

What's the bet Hartley's alloa knocks us out the Scottish cup?

I think he`ll be a good manager. Plenty of experience as a club and international player, determined, reasonably articulate...the way things are going right now, he`ll be our manager in no time. You read it here first :greengrin

Hartley - one of ER's favourite pantomime villains.

Just hope we don't draw Alloa in the later stages of the Scottish Cup next year...
