Seemingly close to where I have my ST so a few mates have came out with the same story, no idea why they would want to come and spend an afternoon in the East.

Exactly what I was thinking. What would be the point?

Saw this from over in the West, one of the guys started to push the police officer (which looked like a female officer) as she escorted him down the stairs.

How were they uncovered?

I heard some ****my idiot spat on a steward - utterly vile.

I think it was more likely to be Hibs fans fighting with each other to try and get a football banning order before their wives buy them a season ticket for fathers day:greengrin

 You need to ask?

I predict a three pager on that..... I will start with "their eyes were too close together"

My brother sits close to this area where it all kicked off and he said that a steward came over to get someone to sit down. The guy refused and when the steward called in the police, he tried to tackle the steward to the ground. The police then came in and took the guy away and then another guy (possibly a mate of the first guy) spat at the steward and he too was escorted out the stadium.

I may have missed a few details but I think that was the gist of it.

I sit in the FF but was watching it. When the female police officer was escorting one of them away he turned around to clearly say "get your hands of me" by the way he shrugged her hand off his shoulder, then she did it again and he shoved her away.

They 1st guy got taken out to abuse being hurled at him with yam songs. Then i heard a loud boo and there was 2 more guys being taken out with more yam abuse.

Surely there was someone close who knows what happened?

Sit just along from this and from what I understand a steward pushed a Hibs fan who was standing in the isle so Hibs fan punched him back. Police came and took wrong person away, before returning for right person. Jambo chants were aimed at the stewards.

I was just along from this and it looked like the steward was trying to get him to sit down or something, even though most people around the area were standing. I think the guy punched the steward and everyone started to get involved pushing the steward around, somebody knocked his hat off and he was shouting for help, the police took the guy away and came up and lifted another 3 or 4 people.

Me and my son were sitting two rows behind all the scuffles which started when a idiot of a steward grabbed a guy that was sitting on the stairs talking to his dad, now i know the stairs have to be clear but it were a total over reaction by the steward who after grabbing the guy came back up and thats when the dad got involved and he got lifted too ,then another guy got lifted for voicing his opinion to the police , all the yam songs were directed at the stewards .

I was a few rows down and that sounds fairly close to the truth :agree:

Oh right. I think everyone that could see it from far away such as the other stands thought it was Hibees or at yams in the East fighting each other.

(no reason why there would be yams, just thought so by the yam chants)

That would be correct. A guy spat on a steward body then on his face. Low life **** for that. Never seen him in that area before so hopefully he wont be back. We dont need absolute **** bags like that in our support.

Pretty disrespectful to Eddie turnbull to get lifted at his tribute game (almost as much as the players performance). Good to see the back of idiots like this.

Is it just me or do the stewards cause more trouble than they stop. Not condoning spitting at them or anything but part of me thinks of they weren't there the fans would have a much more enjoyable experience. Standing in an isle and not sitting down for 90min ffs, hardly merits grabbing someone and chucking them out.

From where I was stood (about 10 rows behind) it appeared that there was a young lad bunched up with his mates with one foot/half his body on the stairs. Steward asked him to move and he eventually did. Young chap was standing infront of a seat with about 500 fans standing behind him, but the steward had a problem with this for some reason, it then looked as if the steward manhandled the fan and tried to push him on a seat, other fans rightly took offence to this and the steward was chased down the stewards. Same wee removedwit then came back up the stairs backed up by his police pals and lifted about 3-4 fans.

Whole thing could've been avoided if the steward wasn't such a removed!

Was speaking to one of the drivers at work who's a Celtic fan and who was at Tynie on Wednesday night. Speaking about the incidents with the Celtic fans and police/stewards, said a lassie got a bit carried away after the Lennon incident, shouted a few things and maybe deserved to get thrown out. She kinda refused to leave and the stewards then had her by the throat and hair while dragging her out, which is why they got leathered. At the time I thought what a load of pish, but after seeing that power mad steward in the East yesterday, it wouldn't surprise me...

I definitely wouldn't fancy going to games with NO stewards.

I realise that some of them need re-trained (though making no judgement in this case) but it's defo prefereable to letting fans do whatever they like.

As for the explanation of the Celtc incident, do me a favour. That lot are ALWAYS coming up with excuses. So the PC that got rounded on by a gang of thugs totally deserved what he got? Is there any kind of behaviour that they lot won't try to blame on somebody else?

The trouble with jobs like match stewards is you always get a proportion of them for whom that wee bit of power goes to their heads. As a result they end up throwing their weight around and effectively CAUSING trouble while using the well worn excuse of "only doing my job/following orders".

Fun at Rugby Park...

As you could easily see on telly, all sides of Rugby Park were well and truly infiltrated by the Rangers singing section in spite of the club's assurances to Killie fans that there would be proper segregation.
A mate at work, season ticket holder at Killie for years, objected to a gang of them standing up and doing the bouncy. Whereupon one of them threw a full cup of coke at him. He missed and my mate's son was drenched.
When my mate pointed this out to a steward nearby he and his son were ejected from the stadium by the police.

Probably for their own safety, probably a good decision, but ultimately disgusting and shocking.

If that version of events is 100% accurate then I would be demanding a full refund plus compensation from Kilmarnock.

Shocking, if true. :agree:
