Watching the play offs and Boyd has been subbed. He then proceeds to tuck into some yahoo banana flavoured milk???? Since when is that a drink associated with sport?

Was told a few months ago by some sports nutrionist guy that milk shake, chocolate in particular is supposed to be THE best thing to drink to replace energy etc, dont know how true it is first time ive ever heard of itbut the lads at my youth team are loving it .........

Yazoo is a 'sterilised' milk drink made with skimmed and whole milk. It is suitable for vegetarians, is a good source of calcium, protein and vitamins B2 and B12. It is low in fat (max. 1.3%) and contains no artificial sweeteners, colours or preservatives. :nerd:

Really? Would have thought it was full of all sorts of chemicals but what do I know.

I don't run enough to ever need sports drinks!

Yazoo is low in fat. So it's not working for Boyd.

This is a trend I've noticed quite a lot recently in Sport. The most recent I can remember is Jenson Button after qualifying on Saturday.

Nade was often spotted after another one of his epic performances eating a cheeseburger and a milkshake. Maybe it's the way to go?

It's called product placement. Any time you see a sportsman on TV with any brand, he's almost certainly being paid for it. Fact.

I noticed this when the mars milkshakes started using it to promote it. Think it was at the last world cup.

This certainly isn't a new phenomonon, I remember when JC was in charge, reading an interview with one of the players that he introduced lots of milkshake and chocolate bars straight after the game, some of them thought he was trying to test them to start with, until he explained the benefits!
