I'm looking for a picture of Sir Matt Busby playing for Hibs.
If anyone knows where I can find such a picture I would be very grateful.
Thanks

Sir Matt played 40 games for Hibs, including 2 Summer Cup Finals against Rangers, Hibs winning the first 3-2 and losing the second after a 0-0 draw (2-2 on corners) and losing on the toss of a coin. Sir Matt scored 5 goals in his time at Hibs, the first in a 2-2 draw with Hearts

Mr McCartney is flanked by Arthur Milne (L) and Bobby Nutley (R)

Matt Busby wrote the intro for one of the earlier books about Hibs - possibly the 100 year celebration book
I've got it lost somewhere
said all good things about the club and his time there
I seem to remember him saying that he always looked out for our result

According to my dad, the player on the bottom right is Jimmy Caskie.
He didn't think that Sir Matt was in the photo but did identify a few of the players
immediately incl. his cousin Bobby Baxter (RHS of the goalkeeper).
A great picture - Thanks for posting

sir matt busby is right in the centre of the picture, fourth from the left in the middle row, reson for him standing out for me is that i remember him from his days as a director of man u and maybe thats why he stood out in the picture. maybe the reason why man u managers struggled a bit during the 80s as he was such an iconic figurehead.....................
matt busby guested for hibs during the more, which reminded me of my dad, as a lot of players did that as they were called up for the armed forces................................my dad played for hibs 39-40 thenhe was called up for the army and then guested for luton town, and was asked to play for cardiff city before injuries took over..............

It was indeed " A Hundred Years Of Hibs ". If I remember correctly Matt played in the 8-1 wartime win over Rangers. There's a legend in our extended family that a few days later the dreaded telegram was received at the door. My "aunt" opened it with shaking fingers & read "please confirm Hibs 8-1 Rangers". At that point my uncle may have been better to be missing in action!
