For anyone who hasn't got Sky or doesn't want to watch Man U v Everton.

Promises to be a great game. QPR could gain promotion today with a win. Cardiff could go into second place if they are able to collect all 3 points.

Both teams have everything to play for and I expect there could be a few goals.

Thanks for the heads up, on baby sitting duty today so I'll make the switch from cbbc's soon.

Have to be a bit neutral on this one, sad I know but I've developed a little fondness for QPR recently. Been playing them on FIFA 11, six seasons deep and looking forward to 7, never gone that far before.

Back in the real world I like Cardiff because of the Scottish connections. There's also Mackie at QPR but he'll be absent because of El Hadj Hoof!!

Happy viewing.

A QPR win because they deserve to go up as champions plus the fact that I also want to see Norwich get promotion to the EPL.

Looks like a cracking atmosphere.

Newcastle v Sunderland was the original and the best.

Budgie saved a penalty in the first leg at Roker Park to earn a Newcastle a goalless draw.

Sunderland won the return 2-0 at St James' to reach the playoff final.

Interesting couple of scores from the first division here;

Dunfermline 0-0 Raith Rovers
Stirling Albion 0-1 Falkirk

If those two results stay the same, it will be;

Dunfermline-62

Falkirk-58

All of them with 2 games left.

Still a long shot for Falkirk to get promoted but with them playing Dunfermline on the last day of the season, it could be interesting.

3-3 FT.

Is anyone else noticing striking similarities between Hertz this season and Hibs last season? Even ****ing up a big lead against Motherwell in fairly comic fashion. They'll probably just about stumble over the line to get into Europe (as Hibs did last year), but it must be a bit worrying for them ahead of next season.

It's a very convenient theory, which is complete bollocks.

More realistically, they are struggling to hold the ball up sans Kyle and their central defence is being disrupted by Zaliukas' suspensions and Webster's injuries (he went off at h/t today?).

4th place gets into Europe, only if Celtic beat Motherwell in the Scottish Cup final and Rangers win the league.

Are you sure?
If Rangers win the league- CL
Celtc win the cup- EL
3rd place- EL
4th place- EL

Celtc win the league & win the cup-CL
2nd, 3rd 4th place all get EL places

Celtc win the league & lose the cup-CL
2nd, 3rd 4th all get EL places

If 'Well win the cup, only 2nd & 3rd place and 'well as cup winners would get into the EL

Cup runners up don't qualify anymore

Dundee UTD won the cup last year and were already in europe and Ross County never got in in their place

Positive.

If the cup winners have qualified for the Champions League through their league placing, the runners up will qualify for the Europa League.

Last year, Dundee Utd had qualified for the Europa League through their league placing, not the Champions League. Hence why Motherwell qualified for the Europa League by finishing 5th and Ross County didn't.

If Rangers or Celtic (who qualified for the Champions League last year) had beaten Ross County in the Scottish Cup final, Ross County would have qualified for Europe and Motherwell wouldn't have done.

Basically, the Scottish Cup must provide one of Scotland's Europa League entries each season.

Celtic win league and win cup;

Europa League entries-2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL, Motherwell (as Scottish Cup runners up).

Celtic win league and lose cup;

Europa League entries-Motherwell (as Scottish Cup winners), 2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL.

Celtic finish 2nd in league and lose cup;

Europa League entries-Motherwell (as Scottish Cup winners), 2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL.

Celtic finish 2nd in league and win cup;

Europa League entries-Celtic (as Scottish Cup winners), 3rd place in SPL, 4th place in SPL.

Do you think folk should/would refuse to shake hands with say Ryan Giggs if he was ever discovered to be a "love cheat"?

I'm not quite sure what point you're making here to be honest. If Giggs ever did what Terry has done then I would expect the person in Bridge's position to act exactly the same towards Giggs as Bridge is doing towards Terry.

If you're trying to say that people wouldn't treat Giggs that way because of the status he has within the game, John Terry was (and now is again) the captain of England and the English media absolutely love the guy. You can't get a much higher status than that.

Decent crowd at East End Park today - 11,052. Shame both Fife sides can't go up.

Capacity only 11,780 so not that far from full.

Be good to replace Hamilton with Dunfermline. Better away ground and closer. Without a shadow of a doubt they will bring more fans to Easter Road than Accies.

Celtic win league and win cup;

Europa League entries-2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL, Motherwell (as Scottish Cup runners up).

Celtic win league and lose cup;

Europa League entries-Motherwell (as Scottish Cup winners), 2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL.

Celtic finish 2nd in league and lose cup;

Europa League entries-Motherwell (as Scottish Cup winners), 2nd place in SPL, 3rd place in SPL.

Celtic finish 2nd in league and win cup;

Europa League entries-Celtic (as Scottish Cup winners), 3rd place in SPL, 4th place in SPL.

:aok:

Cheers for that

I find the whole thing most distasteful and, frankly, none of my business.

Folk wouldn't treat Giggs like they treated John Terry.

You think he'd be over it by now! It was his ex anyway and now he's getting a shot off Frankie from the Saturdays he should be thanking the boy!
