Is absolutely crucial to our success - CC has made reference to this many times in his time here. His overall record thus far is: -

P 27
W 8
D 5
L 14

Of those 27 games we have lost the first goal 15 times, and in only 4 of them did we come back to take anything (3 draws and 1 win). Progressing nicely since January but more resilience is definitely required for next season.

CC did manage to coach Northampton to 25 clean sheets in one season, so if we could get anything close to that tight at the back, the psychological edge of scoring first would be huge.

Lets remember that Northampton are in league 2, no stokes or jelavic there. Our defence has to be better than that. Hopefully Calderwood will bring in some really good defenders noting that he himself was an international defender, think Dickho is leaving at the end of the season so we need a good centre back and cover for the Full Backs.
