Just to let you know that the 2011 event has raised an amazing £10,090 which means since we started back in 2006 we have now raised more than £50,000 for local charities.

This year it was agreed that it would be split 3 ways which means £8272 goes to our main 2011 beneficiaries MSTC Lothian, and £909 each going to Cash For Kids and Asthma UK (Scotland)

I would like to thank each and every one of you who all helped make this amount and in turn make people who rely on these charities life’s easier.

Hope to see you all again for the 2012 event. To keep updated with the 2012 event, simply go to the website (www.rivals4charity.co.uk) and click on the Join Us section on the left hand side and register.

Thanks once again.

Excellent stuff! A great idea and very well run by everyone involved voluntarily giving their time for great causes.

That total, both for this year and since the idea began is an amazing achievement and one everyone involved can be very proud of.

I know it's not easy organising these things and taking the flak on occasions, but I hope seeing those kinds of figures makes it all worthwhile.
