Totally agree, although the win with the "reserve team" was special.

CIS QF - 1-0, Rob Jones scored relatively early and we never looked like we would concede. Very comfortable viewing, we could have won by about 10 had we taken some of our other chances.

6-2 Probably the most enjoyable Hibs game I've ever been to.

1-2 2005 when O'Connor and Shiels scored.

I was in the Hearts end since my dad is a Jambo (we used to take turns at games when I was younger) and I was perhaps a bit young to go in the away end myself (first time at Tynie). Had to hold in my delight when Deano knocked that rebound in, what a day. :greengrin

6-2
1-2 at Tynecastle with O'Connor and Shiels scoring.
0-1 at Tynecastle with Riordan scoring the winner with a penalty.
0-1 at Tynecastle with Kerr scoring the winner after about two minutes.
1-0 at Easter Road in the League Cup with Jones scoring the winner. Probably the most important derby victory in recent years as we went on to win the cup that year.

This is my favourite as well, down to 10 men for most of the game after an extremely harsh (surprise surprise!) sending off for Gordon Rae. Kano's goal and celebration in front of the shed being the highlight :greengrin

6-2 without a doubt, it was an emotional night and I knew then that it was a once in a generation performance (if we're lucky).

2-1 back in the mid to late eighties, a re-arranged new year game. A very young Hibs team ended a sebventeen match unbeaten run or some such nonsense. The place was rocking. The crowd was well in excess of the official figure, back in the day of the "uncounted trunstile"

Too young to remember many of the derbies between 1967 and 1972 although I think some of them were boring 0-0 draws.

Wasn't at the 0-7 game for some unknown reason.

Wasn't living in the UK between 1976 and 2000 so none of the good ones during that time.

Would have to be 2-0 win in 2005 at Easter Road. Garry O' and Boozy.

We are unbeatable . :faf: :lolyam:

The 2-1 game that all but ended their title challenge in 1998 and gave us a real shout of avoiding relegation (although it wasn't to be).

The end of 22 in a row.

The 'unbeatable' derby.

0-3 Millenium derby and 6-2.

I also loved the game when Jon O'Neill got the last minute equaliser to keep Sauzees unbeaten record against them intact. We had been humped up and down the park for 90 minutes and then O'Neill rifled one into the bottom corner cue pandemonium in the Hibs end. If i remember rightly Derek Townsley had a half chance about a minute later but a poor first touch denied us a really sweet victory. I also think a young Mr Riordan made an appearance for us that day as well, might even have been his debut.

:agree:. Think the game was meant to be on a saturday but got rearranged to the thursday which was my birthday. Wasnt planning on going but cause it was going to be played then of all days i just felt we had to win.

Knew plenty who never went and a few jambos who stuck 7-0 hertz on :faf:

The thing about that game was it was an absolutely cracking game as well. Hearts and Hibs were both were very good that day and Zibi, yes Zibi, had a few decent stops as did Gordon in the Hearts goal. It was played at a frantic pace but with a lot of quality as well and we came out on top at the end of it.

My fave one as well. Was only just going to matches and serving my Hibs fan apprenticeship but oh god the feeling walking back along Gorgie Road, in the middle of the road, with the celebrations going on around me were immense. :flag:

Worst one was the one sided (us) Wayne Foster game. No justice there at all.

Tynecastle 1965, without any doubt.

I was still in the queue waiting to get in, as the Hearts supporters were being allowed to leave through a nearby gate.

We had heard the bedlam as goals were clearly flying in, but we had no idea of the score, until we saw the Jambos leaving.

I got in 10 minutes after kick off, just in time to see the 4th goal.

The game finished 4-0. :flag:

6-2 for sure. A very strange day indeed. My uncle's ashes were scattered on the pitch before the game, which was one of the'new' Sunday kick offs.
A very sad, sobering time indeed-followed by THE best pumping of THEM I've seen in all the years I've been goin to ER.

After suffering through all of the 22in a row games a single result almost,ALMOST made me forget all about them.

3-0 Millennium was nice too. And my first visit to tynie was the Archiegoal game.

There's never been a bad win against them- but 6:2's ma favourite by a country mile :-)

I could not get a ticket, so decided to watch the millenium derby in the cabbage&ribs. A lovely young lass nervously asked me before the game KO if I truly thought we would win, of course we will said I. Every time Hibs scored she was over me like a rash, hugging and kissing, god was I annoyed we only scored 3 that night.

Couldn't get a ticket for that game so decided to watch it in the pub. Niemi had just signed for them who was a class act and had jambos giving it large...and rightly so as he was a class act.

BANG Dirk, BANG Sauzee...and a SLICK Miller finish right at the end!

Marcos was bouncing and the jambos were slinking out the door!

Has to be the 6-2 game and 1-0 o'connor last minute goal!

6-2 was unreal! Never felt like that at a game in my life! It felt like I was steaming after a pint but was on such a high.

Remember shouting and taunting the hearts fans from the east until every one of them had left after the o'connor last min goal. Fantastic day

17th October 1987 - my first derby. Robbo scores for Hertz, but Hibs win 2-1 ending a run of 17 games without a win. IIRC Goram's second game for Hibs having had his debut the week before in a 4-0 win against Dunfermline.

0-7. I was in a daze going into my Grannies in Newton St for the New Year's day Party

It is now, but have to say, wasn't at the time, that'd be the 2-1 1971 Scottish Cup win as the clubs were a lot closer then & it signaled the start of seventies domination.

The 7-0 game was a great result, but by then Celtic and to a lesser extent, Rangers, were our rivals as the previous nine month we had beaten Rangers in three semi's & the last two Hampden final visits brought victory over Celtic, plus we were high scoring in a lot of our games, including six goals against teams like Sporting.

Would hands down have to be the 6-2 game. The atmosphere during the second half and after the game was special. I have to say what makes it even more special is Russell Latapys goal is one of my most memorable goals at Easter road!!
