For all those that like it on here, I see Widnes got into Super league yesterday.

What a joke really, Halifax have prob been the best team over the last 3 years. What do you think of this franchise nonsence?

You can't beat been stood in a ground and seeing a winning point win you the league unlike today all sat in a room cheering that your going up without winning rugby matches. Not a fan myself. Imagine if this happened in football :rolleyes:

Got to say I don't really understand the franchise rules, though mainly because I've not read up on it :greengrin

I'm sure I heard them say oin Sky that Halifax have not been totally discounted so I assume the process is on going.

Does that mean the bottom team in Super League are demoted to the Championship for the duration of the next licence?

As a neutral, Widnes going up was probably the right decision. They're big enough to be in the super league and were unlucky to not be included last time round. I wouldn't be totally surprised if Halifax made it in as well at the expense of crusaders.
