Yet another stunt by Michael O'Leary's cowboy airline to part you from your hard-earned cash. Tried this out myself on a fare to Dublin for the Scotland games and it's true.

So if you're planning to fly with this mob, be aware!

This happened to me but I only just realised it after reading this. I checked prices a couple of times and the price of the trip went up by about 60 for two. I checked at another computer and it was back to the original price so I thought they naturally fluctuated.

Reading that it seems a lot of others do the same.

It seems that the clever thing to do before buying anything online is to clear the relevant cookies. What a bunch of bawbags.

Never, ever fly Ryanair. Joke of a company and buy the time you add it all together your better going with Easy Jet.

I'd go further, to be honest. I reckon by the time to add it all up, your standard ryanair round trip including transfers and all the added extras, you'd be as well getting a standard airline. It's a bit of a false economy. There's a lot of sacrifices you have to make.

Very reluctantly using Ryanair to go on our summer hols to Fuerventura in September due to the flights are from Edinburgh and the times are pretty decent. Did a quick look at the costs and it was around £580 for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. But by the time I paid 'admin fees' and then bloody £65 to check in 1 bag it was over £700. 1 bag is probably not enough so more than likely will have to shell out another £65 so the cost will be closer to £800. So from a base price quoted of £580 it quickly went up and will be more like £800.

Oh and if I forget to print my online boarding passes then its another £40 each I believe!

Tell me another airline that can fly to Berlin for £50 return, Bratislava for £60 return and Krakow for £40 return and I am all ears. :cool2:

Bar a slight delay in Spain (either 'Barcelona or 'Ibiza', cannae mind), i've never had a problem with Ryanair.

Clearing the cookies is a handy wee tip though.

I'm not sure if this is still the case but my personal favourite Ryanair experience was the 'online check in fee', basically you were charged for checking in online despite them telling you the only way to check in was............online.

I also had a mate who was charged a £30 'admin fee' because his boarding pass wasn't printed in colour. He got it refunded about 3 months later after pointing out several ties it didn't state anywhere in their terms and conditions it had to be in colour, it was only when he threatened legal action they finally gave in and gave him is money.

I am slowly getting to grips with ********air. The trick is to realise that they are trying to shaft you at every turn, and never to trust them an inch.

You have to read every bit of small print, and be very careful when you book. However, for me a flight to Faro for 50 is pretty good going.

The other thing is to expect to be treated like cattle at the airport. I flew out to the Algarve in January, and ended up spending 30 minutes standing on the tarmac at Edinburgh waiting to get on the plane. It was minus 2 degrrees, and some people were in short sleeves.

That's really low even by O'Leary's "standards". I never spend extra money than I need to in circumstances like this but feel driven away further and further all the time. Flew back from Dublin with Aer Lingus a few months ago when EDI was shut due to snow and had to be moved onto other flights and juggled about to make sure I got home. Ryanair, on the other hand just put on a blanket cancellation and didn't even have any intention of Running flights so you had no chance of flying if the airport opened when snow stopped for a while. Still got nought from Aer Lingus for expenses despite having to stay another night in Dublin and miss work.
